Autopsy for Westen
For seven years, our snake Westen served as an ambassador for our reptile education program, Ellie’s Exotic Roadshow. He was a wild-type ball python hatched in June of 2018 who kick-started our love for reptiles, taught us so much about owning and loving snakes, and became the opening act for our program. In his seven years, Westen interacted with hundreds of kids, teens, and adults. For many of them, he was the first snake they ever touched. On June 12, Westen passed away unexpectedly. He did not show any signs of illness or injury, and we would like to know what happened to him. In order to do that, we need to have an autopsy and pathology performed, which costs about $600. This is a very large expense for our program, but we want to do it for Westen. So we're reaching out to our community. If you're able to make a donation, we would appreciate it. All donations will go directly to the cost of the procedure. We'll also share the results once we have them. Thank you.
