avoid an eviction

Im renting a room but ive recently been laid off and can no longer pay the fees. Im hoping to be hired soon & become employed again, but as of right now, I'm in the red $369, and my room rent is due every week. Ive been borrowing 20-50$ here & there to keep my balance low, but I've run out of people who can help me. No govt assistance because im not "ACTIVELY" being evicted. ANY assistance will be immensely appreciated.
