Friends and Family -

We hope this finds you all doing well and enjoying a safe and relaxing summer. It’s hard to believe, but we are now into the month of August. That means it is time for the 2025-2026 school year and our next campaign to help our friends and neighbors get off to a strong start. 

It is always a great joy to us to see this campaign grow year after year.  Back in 2018, 55 donors and raised $4,175. Last year, 102 people pooled their resources and contributed a record breaking amount of $10,705! 

The Wilhelmina Hardin Food Pantry has put these funds to great use, distributing over 100 backpacks full of essential supplies. The children also received socks, underwear and many other necessities. The parents and grandparents of these young students also received gift cards to Target and other retailers to help them cover other expenses. With your continued help and generosity, we can grow this campaign to help even more families. 

We’ve all felt the squeeze of inflation.

National statistics indicate that inflation between 2018 and 2025 is 28%. That means a $50 donation in 2018 has the purchasing power of just $39 in 2025. Please factor this into your contribution this year. And please share the campaign with anyone who may be interested in contributing and promoting.
