My husband was diagnosed with ARDS on Christmas Eve day.   He had influenza A(H1N1) and pneumonia,  which turned into ARDS(Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome).  This is a life threatening condition.   He was intubated for 3 days,  and collectively in the MICU for a week and a half.   He is an ARDS survivor.  But ever since being in the hospital,  he's been unable to work.   I'm the only one with some sort of income.   He has to travel an hour away each week for his doctor appointments.  With just my income,  I can't afford to pay our bills,  his medical bills and co-payments, plus get groceries for us and our 2 children.   He's going to be out of work for quite some time.   Any help would be appreciated.
