Dear Parents of the Pi Chapter Betas,

We hope this message finds you well! We’re reaching out with an exciting opportunity to enhance one of our chapter’s most-used and beloved features — our backyard basketball court.

Having a court in our own backyard is a rare privilege, and it’s in near-constant use — from casual pickup games to hosting official matchups through the Greek Basketball Association (GBA) here on campus. To take full advantage of this space and extend its use beyond daylight hours, we’re working to raise funds to install permanent lighting.

Currently, when games run past sundown, we’ve either had to stop them or even rely on phone flashlights to keep the court playable — as seen in one of the photos below. The quote we received includes two 25-foot light poles and four high-powered area light fixtures, which will make a huge difference in how and when we can use the court.

The housing board is fully supportive of the project and has agreed to contribute, though we’re still waiting on a confirmed amount. In the meantime, we’re turning to you — our incredible Beta parents — for help. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to making this project a reality and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood through shared time and activity.
