Hemingways’ kitchen manager and longtime service industry comrade, Chris Beffert (aka Beef), has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. His journey will start with surgery Oct 23rd which will require a week of healing and rest, followed by Chemo and radiation over the next few months. The financial need for this will be huge and it is my hope that our community can come together, yet again, to help our fellow brother. This will be a difficult journey but he will not walk it alone. 

We will use this page to take donations and update on treatment plans, and as a way for Chris to receive love.

His family at Hemingways is organizing a fundraiser event soon, we’re asking if anyone would like to donate a door prize for the silent auction, any bands willing to play or any other help being offered. This event is being planned for December 7th.

All proceeds will go directly toward his treatment and care. Anything helps—but please don’t feel any pressure! This is simply an open request, and if you feel implored please feel free to just stop by Hemingways to see Chris and share your love and support over the next few weeks. Everyone has been truly raising his spirits.
