Bean needs chemo. HELP!
Hi, I'm Bean and that's my bus!

TLDR/Long story short; My vehicle/home broke down and my timeline for getting chemo is getting short. My family and I need YOUR help buying a couple parts which are cost prohibited at this moment in time.

Back in December 2018 I was found out I had Hodgkin's lymphoma. Thankfully, I found a great specialist in Boston and started a business to help raise some money.

Weighing the price of housing near my doctor, we realized the only decision we could make was to forge a more unconventional way. This year, I finally got a bus, uprooting my husband Chris and our 3 dogs, Honey, Sodapop, and Ron Howard, and moving us from Michigan to Massachusetts.

Unfortunately, we had engine problems before I could start chemo. Thought it wouldn't be an issue, we can get through anything!! ....... That was September, when it was still hot out, remember those days? $2,000+ in parts and uncountable labor hours poured in and we haven't moved. Here we still sit in Pennsylvania. 500 miles from my doctor and beginning to freeze.

The local mechanic won't deal with us even if we could afford him because we live in the bus. So for him to help we'd need a hotel while he looks at it. We thought we could diagnose the issue ourselves....right now we know our ECM is fried, but that might not be the main issue.
Icing this cake of unfortunate events, moving forced Chris to lose his job, and unfortunately my disability payments are even smaller than usual due to insurance snafu's. Times are beyond tough.
Though my cancer has a great prognosis, I'm reaching the end of the timeline.
If we got them bus moving today, we're in need of the following:
Turbo gasket & O-ring kit $15(?)
Oil change ($150 when we do it ourselves)
Full tank of diesel (100 gallons, ≈$600+)
The ECM is at least $500-600, then we need to get it programmed which is another $500+. So there's a cool $1,000+. We'd also like to replace a few more wiring harnesses so we don't have to "Mickey Mouse" our wires. They range in price, but average around $200.
If that doesn't fix things, we have a list of what's next, but we're replacing the part we KNOW is broken so if need be we can still move down the road. If you're wondering, the EGR and oil cooler are next, both of which are going to need to be bulletproof to prevent more issues.
Right now it's cold and we are desperately in need of a diesel heater, $200.
We're running low on dog food, $65.
Propane is another one, for cooking and temporary heat, $50.
Chris and I have both earned money while on the road, but we've put much MUCH more into the bus to keep her going. I know some people are telling us to turn around, but this is the cheapest option at this point. We have alternative ideas, like storage, but that leaves me homeless, paying for storage, 500+miles away while going through chemo in Boston ..... Let me tell you, that does NOT sound like a fun time!
