On Tuesday January 27th we experienced a chimney fire. We were unaware that the previous owners installed the liner incorrectly, so even though we swept it regularly, it caught fire anyway. We were fortunate that we were awake when it happened and no one was hurt. However, the chimney was a complete loss and our wood stove is our main source of heat. We have space heaters for the time being but that's not sustainable. We try our very best not to ask for help but this was not an expense we were even remotely prepared for. Anything helps, and we appreciate it more than you know.
