Hello fam!!!

Today is June 16th, 2024….. my birthday. I am raising money, specifically set aside, for me to be able to get to and from the doctors office and pharmacy. I have decided I want to live….. and I want to live happy. I was diagnosed with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma and because of the type of cancer, have decided to forego treatment, and enjoy the time I have :-) I will not be remembered as the cancer patient who “fought a good fight” or die suffering in and out of a hospital bed.

I have been described as “the life of the party”, “the magical unicorn”, the “glue who keeps us together”, the “peacekeeper”, “a true friend”, “that happy dude”, “family to everyone”, “my kids favorite unrelated guncle”, “the reliable one”…… “mine and everyone's favorite person”.

When I asked my friends to tell me the first thing that comes to their mind when they hear my name in topic, the majority said “does the next right thing”, “unity”, “a little kindness can change everything”, “selfless”, “pay it forward”, “constantly seeing the best in everyone, regardless of their past”, “a fighter”.

The list was long, and brought tears to my eyes. A friend recommended I suck it up, and reach out for help. My primary focus is making sure the journey is going to have the symptoms under control, and I will be working to pay for the medicine and hopefully allow for me to carry out a couple items on my bucket list…. 3-5 years isn't a long time…. I won't be taking what time I do have, for granted. To everyone who is able to help, thank you….. from the bottom of my heart I appreciate it.
