Recently George Floyd, an unarmed black man, was murdered by a white police officer that kneeled on him for several minutes. Unfortunately, black people getting murdered by police is a systematic problem that requires bold solutions to address these inequities. Despite the gains of the civil rights movement, racial disparities in arrest rates and incarceration rates continue to exist. Studies consistently show that blacks are more than two times more likely than whites to get murdered by police.
