I am the Executive Producer of an upcoming Off-Broadway production of David Harrower's “Blackbird,” and I could really use your help. My production partners and I decided to make this a “crowd-sourced” endeavor, in large part to create a grassroots conversation about a hidden, dark underbelly in our society, pedophilia and child sexual abuse. “Blackbird” shines a spotlight into this darkness, highlighting the stigma and the way that abuse affects its survivors, both victim and perpetrator. It is an award-winning, funny, provocative, disturbing glimpse into this world.
There are no cookie-cutter solutions, but, understanding, compassion, and a shared commitment to the welfare of our communities is at stake.  The conversation starts with “Blackbird.” Whatever you can contribute will be most appreciated.
