My name is Cynthia. I recently became aware of the hardships that plague my beautiful sister-in-Christ and her family.  Michelle began having medical issues in 2010.  Even though she was in poor health she continued to work as a preschool teacher at Legacy Academy, a position she greatly loved and cherished.  My son was in her class and, I personally witnessed how dedicated she was to the children she taught, the school she worked for, and her church. She had surgery in June, 2016 and therein began her bout with major medical problems.  She was forced to leave the job and the children she loved. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy which has taken a major mental, physical, financial and emotional toll on her family.  She will have surgery September 22, 2017 to remove the remaining tumor, then continue with radiation and a year of Herceptin treatments. The side effects from all the aggressive chemo plus medication are very hard on her physically. Michelle and her family should not have to worry about financial issues while she is trying to heal. She should not have to worry about how her family will pay for the outrageous medical bills that are piling up and all of their basic living expenses. They cannot do it alone.
