BMGA Non-Profit Registration
Bengali Music Group of Austin (aka BMGA) completes 13 successful years. From a group of 4 participants, it has almost 50 participants this year. BMGA's lifelong mission is to promote Indian culture and music with the help of local talent. BMGA has always welcomed people who are passionate about the ideology of promoting and preserving different genres of Indian music and dance. Our core mission is to educate our second generation about India's rich cultural heritage.
This year BMGA is hosting its biggest summer program "EkAyana" with a colorful selection of regional songs, dances and plays. In order to grow as a group, this group will need financial support from the community. We request you all to donate a minimum of $5 or more so that we can raise enough funds to apply for a 501(c)(3) non-profit status. The non-profit status will help us to seek sponsorships, tax exemptions, discounts etc. Whatever money is not used for the application process, will be used to purchase a good sound system that will be used by our participants for different BMGA events.
