My name is Bonnie. I currently live in Terrell, Tx. I work for Kroger in Rockwall as a Fuel Clerk. A week ago I had to make a trip to the ER because my right knee had me in excruciating pain. After having x-rays done and a shot of steroids the doctor said it was a knee effusion and that the arthritis that was there in my last set of x-rays (I've been there before with thd same knee problem) has gotten worse. On July 13th I seen my primary doctor. Instead of him clearing me to return to work he tells me that I should check into taking a leave of absence until I can an Orthopedic Surgeon. Until then no pressure on the right leg. Sit and keep it elevated as much as possible and when I need to go places use crutches to keep pressure off of the knee. Well leave of absence means no pay. I'm on SSI which covers most of my rent. That means even if the company offered Short Term Dissability  I couldn't get it because you can't collect two forms of disability at the same time. The reason forbthis funding is to cover my bills and gas to get back and forth to appointments until I am cleared to return to work. Thank you everyone in advance.
