On January 5, 2023, Brandon visited the ER for severe back pain, due to an incident on New Year's Eve. A CT scan was done and the radiologist found a bulging disc in his L-4, L-5 regions. But he found out moments later that his back was the least of his problems. Lesions were found throughout his chest, torso, and pelvic bones. They lit up like bright stars in the sky, something that anyone could plainly see.

On January 6, he saw an oncologist who diagnosed him with cancer. The type of cancer is not exactly known yet but we will find out soon. His insurance doesn't cover the chemo and other procedures needed to save his life. Where we go from here is unknown to us. We all want the best for our loved ones. Even more so when it comes to life and death decisions. We choose life for Brandon. He has too much more to do in life. Getting on his ATV again and riding the wind at the dunes makes him the happiest. We ask for your help to help to get him there and to help him with the expenses that are adding up quickly. He is a man who asks for nothing and gives his entire heart to the world.

January 11th we found out it is CLL, Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow that usually gets worse slowly. He starts chemo in February.
