My name is Amanda Marquez. My 21 yr old son passed away August 4th 2025 in a fatal car accident on his way home from work. The accident happened only 4 miles from home. It was the worst day that I've ever had to endure. My son left behind a four year old son named Jaxon. That little boy was Braydens life he had been raising my grandson by himself since the mother left when Jaxon was only 6 months old. My son had a life insurance policy through his job at Walmart but because my mother his grandma always has to have the last say she has somehow managed to get that policy sent over to an annuity account that only she can touch because she got guardianship over my grandson or only he can touch when Jaxon turns 18. There was over 20000 dollars also raised around the community but once again somehow my mother ended up with all that money. She says she put of that money on a CD for Jaxon and it can't be touched for five years. Part of that money came from a go fund me account my son's gf put together that's why I can't do a go fund me now. And I turned to this place for help. My son was cremated when he passed. As of right now he is still sitting on the funeral homes shelf waiting to be paid for in order to come home. So for almost 5 months my son's ashes have been sitting on a shelf collecting dust because I just bought a house with my savings just days before his passing and I have no funds to pay the 11000 dollar funeral bill. I've contacted other organizations asking for help with this matter but haven't heard anything back from any of them. I just want to bring my baby boy home so that he can be with his kid sister and his mother. I don't understand why ppl have to be so greedy or so heartless to the point of what it is like right now with my family. I know my mother didn't put that money in an account for my grandson. Her and my sister have spent all that money. Not to mention she is a foster mother that gets well over 4000 dollars a month for the foster children she has. It's not like she is hurting for money she is just being evil and selfish as always. She also has everyone thinking I'm just out for the money but that is not the case I only want her to pay for that funeral so I can go pick up my baby boy. Anything will help and if you can't donate please just say a prayer for me that one day I'll be able to afford the funeral and have him home with me where he belongs.
