Breakfast Club
Support the Future of Our Fire Service: FWCS Fire Academy
What began as a simple act of community kindness as "The Breakfast Fund" has grown into something extraordinary.
During the government shutdown and the SNAP funding crisis, our neighbors came together to provide breakfast foods for families in need—quiet acts of generosity that kept students nourished and hopeful during uncertain times. From that moment of unity grew something powerful: if our community could rally to feed our young people, perhaps it could also help ignite their futures.
Today, that spark has become the Breakfast Club, a life-changing fund that opens doors for students who dream of serving their community with courage and purpose. Under Chief Jacobs’ leadership, this academy offers teens a path of discipline, service, and hands-on training—at absolutely no cost to them.
Every day, our cadets show up with hard work, grit, and determination . They run drills in the heat & cold, study tirelessly, and push themselves beyond their comfort zones. Many come from challenging circumstances, yet they rise with a determination that inspires everyone around them. They are not just learning to fight fires—they are learning to lead, to serve, and to believe in their own potential.
But like any fire service training program, this academy relies on support to keep going.
We have ongoing needs for the basics our students require:
• Uniform components
• PT clothing
• Snacks and hydration supplies
• Hygiene items and gloves
And as our program grows, so do our needs for specialized, higher-cost equipment that prepares cadets for real-world fire service:
• Training hoses and nozzles
• Turnout gear
• SCBA training units
• Emergency medical training materials
• Safety equipment and storage resources
Your generosity—whether large or small—directly impacts the daily lives and future careers of these incredible young people. You’re not just providing equipment; you’re reinforcing their belief that their community stands behind them.
The Fire Academy was born from compassion, and it continues to thrive because people like you choose to invest in hope, resilience, and opportunity.
Help us keep the flame burning. Support our young cadets as they train, persevere, and rise to become tomorrow’s heroes.
