The funds acquired in this account will go to the purchase of a used vehicle for a recently certified Chemical Dependency Counselor, who has completely turned his life around in the last 2 years. He has been clean and sober for 2 years after suffering from a 30 year addiction to drugs and alcohol. Since he has become sober he has become certified as a Peer Recovery Supporter, as well as a Chemical Dependency Counselor. He is a well known face in the AA community and a pillar of the recovery community. He currently resides at a Sober Living Home and is trying to secure employment in his recent field of certification. The problem is that he lacks the means of transportation required to make the commute to and from the nearest locations where these jobs are present. I'm hoping that anybody who reads this will help me with bridging the gap for this young man. Even the smallest offerings will be greatly appreciated.
