Zander was born at 29 weeks on 1/16/17 at 1 pound 3 oz. He wasn't fully developed and had NEC. He was transferred to a children's hospital on 1/19/17 for observation from the surgeons. He had surgery to place a broviack on 1/25/17 which caused him to have issues with his breathing and apnea and had to be intubated since so His mommy can't even hold him. He has had 3 blood transfusions because he is anemic and causing his heart rate to rise and oxygen level to drop. He had an eye test yesterday which showed that he had ROP and if that gets too bad he could go blind. He just had testing to see if he had a blockage in the intestine and if so he will have to have surgery to have an ostomy. Since then he has had breathing issues and oxygen dropped extremely low 8 times now. He was blue last night where he actually died and had to have CPR. Now they think he may have aspiration pneumonia. His parents both have been forced to take an unpaid leave from their jobs to be by Zander's bedside. Neither have asked me to reach out for help but I know they're struggling and desperately could use any help we could give them.
