Bring Family Home To USA
I am a 35-year-old black man working well below minimum wage in Chicago while living in Milwaukee with friends. Although, I only make $200/week, I still try to send $30 every 2 weeks to the love of my life (Lear) and our very handsome son (Justin) in the Philippines to help out while I work on trying to bring them home to me. I'm currently at my wits end and partially going bald (Simpsons - Mr. Buns-style) searching the internet on ways to come up with the money to help my girlfriend of 11 years and our 10 year old get their Philippine Passports and Visas, so they can finally be here with me to complete our soon-to-be happy and peaceful family by the time our son finishes school sometime in March of this year.
I've tried to raise funds online before and didn't anything. I'm honestly hopefully that maybe this time around, that there'll be individuals that can understand our situation and be willing to donate something, even if it's just $1, or a tweet and/or share. The last time that I've seen my girlfriend and our son in person, was in May of 2009. Now we talk everyday via Facebook Messenger Chat and even once in a while via Facebook Messenger Video Call.
There's not a day that goes by, that we don't talk on Facebook Messenger.
The only reason as to why I am running this crowdfunding campaign, is to hopefully raise 50-100% of the funds to bring at least my loved ones home to my asap. I have no problem sending "Thank You" cards and "CD/DVD Thank You" videos to every person that donates to help bring my family home. As for what I will do with the money raised is very specific to the "T".
1. Help my girlfriend and our son get their Philippine Passports.
2. Next help them (financially) apply for visas to enter the US.
3. Pay for their international airline tickets after their visas have been approved asap.
4. Show our appreciation either via Facebook, and/or mailing out Thank You cards with current pictures, Video CDs and DVDs to all donors.
5. Notifying all donors via mail with a wedding invitation, once we figure out a set date and location.
