UPDATE:

    So, with the money I gave them directly, we are almost to the goal. Since I know a lot of y'all want to give still I am raising the goal to $1,120 in hopes to bring his sister here as well. If I reach the $1,120 online, then everyone will be fully funded to come. For y'all who don't know, his sister is a full-time missionary in South Africa. She would love to come and so I'm going to try and make it happen, but I need your help. Thank each and every one of y'all for your continued prayers and support. I know it is going to make him more happy than even I can imagine! My goal was to bring his parents here and my dream was to bring his parents, grandparents, and sister here. God has been so gracious and my dream for Jared is actually coming true! His parents and grandparents are coming and his sister is just within reach. I am so excited to see the Lord work. Thank you all for your help.

Hey y'all!

    So I am trying to raise money for my boyfriend, Jared, in an effort to bring his family here to Lancaster. See, he's a worship arts major and his senior project is coming up in February. His parents are in ministry down in the Caribbean and are unable to come since they are already coming in May for Jared's graduation. I am currently working a little under 40 hours/week between 3 jobs, while being a full-time student. The reason I'm doing this is because of how important I know this is to him.

    He and his family are extremely close and I can't imagine not having his parents there for the one night he has worked the last four years for. For those of you that don't know what a senior project is, here is a brief description. Basically, worship arts majors plan this night to display all the things they've learned and worker towards for the last four years. They are showing how the Lord has been growing them and the techniques and wisdom that the teachers and faculty have imparted to them. I like to compare it to a dissertation for a doctorate degree. It's what they work so hard for throughout their entire schooling in higher education to get to. 

    My dream goal is $2,000 as I would love to bring his parents and sister, but I know that's not realistic. So, for the time being my primary goal is $1,000, which would be a good round trip for both of his parents. They are so excited about the idea. 

    Lastly, THIS IS A SECRET, so don't tell him. It is really hard to surprise him and it's five months away so I know it's going to be really hard. I want to surprise him on the day of his recital which is February 23rd.
