"It takes a village to raise a child"

As many people are aware, the Family Court System in any state is a flawed system. Anyone who has been through a custody situation would understand the court is not always fair. Judges who don't know your heart or your life preside over cases in fractions of time based on tiny slivers of information each party chooses to present as relevant in their favor. This is most often emotionally, mentally and financially draining to everyone.

Nicole is someone who has dedicated her time to helping others through their own traumas in life, even in the face of dealing with her own. She is a huge reason why one of us found the courage and strength to leave our job and pursue personal dreams, and others found the courage to excel and push forward on passion projects we always wanted to do, but didn't allow ourselves to start for one reason or another. She showed us her strength when she bounced back stronger than ever after a significant moment in her life, and taught us what is possible in the face of turmoil. We have watched her build a community of people all learning, growing and strengthening themselves that we have each become an active participant in.

We have watched as she helped countless others become comfortable in their own skin and embrace their differences rather than be hardened by them. We have heard her express numerous times that it made no difference who you were, what you were going through, or where in life your faith and belief lives because everyone was welcomed, accepted, and celebrated. We have watched as even strangers to us entered her business and gave testament to the ways she has helped them through their troubles in rough moments of their lives. But more than anything, we've watched as she remained strong in the face of situations that could have broken any one of us.

Now it's Nicole and her daughter who need that love and support in return. Nicole has always held strong in the face of her challenges, and life has thrown her many, but the pain of not being able to bring her daughter home every day is one those who have gotten to know her these past few years could never miss. With all she's done to help each of us who now count her among our friends, and many others in the community through her business and her passion, it's hard sitting on the sidelines unable to help someone who has done so much for you, for mutual friends, and for others.

Nicole would do anything to ensure her daughter comes back to the home she's grown familiar with, and the routine she's always counted on, but court battles require more funds than a small business owner/ self-made person can find. As her friends who support her in this matter and want to see both Nicole and her daughter happy, we are asking everyone who has a little extra, even pocket change, to donate what they can to help, support her fundraisers, share them everywhere you can to spread the word, and help us, help her for helping everyone she could these past few years. She taught us our worth, so let's teach her she's worth it! Let's reunite Nicole and her daughter!
