Brisk's ACL/Hip Surgery

Brisk is my lil pup that I adopted when I graduated college. My parents promised me that if I graduated college they would get me a pup since I had always wanted one but there were no pets allowed in the house. Brisk changed that rule and now he's our lil baby. I currently live at my parents house with my now Fiancé as I have just graduated college as of May and cannot yet afford to move out.

Brisk loves to be the center of attention. He absolutely loves being outside and running all over. My family has fallen in love with him and he loves being a lap dog to anyone and everyone. Brisk is always the happiest of babies and always ready to play. He was all play 24/7 and he just did not want to quit. Since his injury however he has just been a lovey lap dog sad that we cannot go play.

Pupper's favorite game is "keep away". All I have to do is tell him to get a toy. He brings it up to me and I put my 2 hands out and make a fake grabbing motion. Then the game is on. He runs all over while I try to chase him down and get his toy. He absolutely loves juking me out and tearing through the house/yard. He just lights up with happiness when we want to play that game.

Brisk being the lovable, high energy and high play drive dog was tearing it up outside when he fell and hurt himself. He limped on/off for a little before I took him to Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital. After x-rays they determined Brisk has a torn ACL and severe hip dysplasia which he hid well. He will unfortunately need 2-3 surgeries to reconstruction his ACL and reconstruct his hip.

Unfortunately I am currently unable to afford these surgeries. Seeing him limp around the house is heartbreaking. You can tell he is miserable being stuck inside and not playing. I want nothing more than to have him back and healthy. One day I will pay it forward to others.
