My name is David White, and I am creating this fundraiser to support my nephew, Bryson, and his parents, Dustin and Amber Mullins, during an unexpected and overwhelming medical crisis.

Bryson was admitted to the hospital after his condition rapidly worsened. After multiple rounds of imaging, testing, and evaluation by specialists, doctors confirmed that Bryson has a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) along with additional medical complications that continue to be closely monitored. He has been receiving care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where his medical team has worked diligently to stabilize him and determine the safest path forward. While his oxygen levels are currently holding, his care has required constant monitoring, repeated imaging, and coordination between multiple specialists. In the midst of many unknowns, our family has been leaning heavily on our faith, trusting God to guide the hands of Bryson’s doctors and carry him through each step of this journey.

This medical emergency has deeply affected the entire family. Bryson’s father, Dustin, has been out of work not only to support Bryson during his hospitalization and be present for critical medical decisions, but also to care for their other children—Paisleigh, Hope, Ellie, and Hudson—while Amber remains at the hospital with Bryson around the clock. The hospital is more than an hour away from their home, resulting in ongoing transportation and fuel expenses. Although the family has health insurance, there are many necessary medical-related items and needs that the insurance does not cover. With income disrupted and out-of-pocket expenses continuing to grow, household bills are beginning to fall behind, adding to the emotional and financial strain they are facing.

When Bryson can return home, the road ahead will still be challenging. His recovery will involve numerous specialty follow-up appointments, careful monitoring, and a healing process that will take time. He may require medical equipment, support supplies, and accommodations related to new diagnoses, symptoms, and complications that do not yet have a defined timeline for improvement. These ongoing needs may require Dustin to take additional time away from work in the weeks and months ahead. Through all of this, Dustin and Amber are holding tightly to their faith, trusting that God will continue to provide strength, healing, and direction.

I am starting this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden facing this family so they can focus on what matters most—Bryson’s health and recovery. Any support given will help cover medical-related expenses, transportation costs, household bills, and the many unforeseen needs that come with a medical crisis of this magnitude.
