Buggy's funeral
In Loving Memory of James Austin Hollenbeck Jr.
On December 18th, we lost our dad, James Austin Hollenbeck Jr. He was one of those people everyone in town recognized—usually riding his bike, stopping to talk, cracking a joke, or helping someone when he could.
James was not a quiet man. He was outspoken, unconventional, and completely himself—unapologetically honest to the core. He judged no one, stood up for the little guy, and wasn’t afraid to call out the big guy. He could make you laugh, make you think, and sometimes shake your head all in the same conversation. If you knew him, you knew exactly who he was—and he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
He didn’t have much, but he gave what he could. He touched more lives than he ever realized, and he will be deeply missed by those who loved him and by many who crossed his path.
We are asking for help to cover funeral and final expenses, which come to approximately $5,500. Any amount—big or small—would mean more than we can put into words.
This fundraiser is being organized by his children, James and Amber, along with his mother and sister. Your support will help us lay him to rest with dignity and take some of the financial burden off our family during this difficult time.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is just as appreciated. Thank you for remembering our dad and for any kindness you can offer.
Rest easy, Dad. You were one of a kind, and you are loved.
