Buskers come in all shapes and sizes at Seattle's Pike Place Market. We are singers, dancers, pianists, fiddlers, and magicians. Some of us are living pieces of art! All of us are united by our love for The Market, in and of itself a community that thrives on art, local produce, and community care.

All busking spots were officially closed on March 24, but many of us have not played music in over five weeks. For many of us, that meant that our main source of income (65% of my own personal income) vanished overnight.

I am lucky. I live with my wife and best friend, in a comfortable and rent-free location. I am of sound health, have access to technology that allows me to connect with loved ones, and have chosen a career that inherently creates joy. Therefore, I would like to give back to the community that welcomed me two years ago: the buskers and Market staff who gave me the space to become the musician that I am today.
