What I’m Building

BuyAndSell is a digital marketplace built for anyone who wants a safe, verified place to buy or sell digital goods, code, art, UI, scripts, bots, thumbnails, animations, and more.

Right now, people try to buy these things on Discord, Reddit, Instagram, and random DMs.

That system is completely broken:

• fake sellers
• fake buyers
• impersonators
• stolen work
• chargebacks
• no verification
• no dispute system
• no accountability

BuyAndSell replaces that chaos with a real, structured, secure marketplace backed by Stripe for payments.

Why I’m Building This

For years, both creators and buyers have been getting scammed on platforms that were never designed for digital transactions.

Discord

Fake portfolios, fake vouches, fake middlemen, people disappearing after payment.

Reddit

Throwaway accounts, impersonators, no verification, no protection.

DM marketplaces

No logs, no structure, no dispute system, no way to prove anything.

Creators lose money.

Buyers lose money.

Nobody is safe.

I’m building BuyAndSell because there is no trusted platform for digital goods, and people deserve one.

Who Can Sell (and Why)

Not everyone becomes a seller.

How Payments Work (Stripe Backend)

BuyAndSell uses Stripe as the backend payment processor.

Stripe handles:

• payouts to creators

• identity verification

This means:

• creators get paid safely
• buyers are protected
• transactions are logged
• no one can run off with money
• no random PayPal scams
• no fake screenshots
• no “send to this wallet” nonsense

Stripe is the same system used by companies like Shopify, Lyft, DoorDash, Patreon, and millions of businesses.

Using Stripe makes the marketplace legitimate, safe, and stable.

How the Marketplace Works

BuyAndSell is built around three systems:

Only verified creators can list digital goods.

This removes 90% of scam risk.

2. Verified Buyers

Buyers must verify before purchasing.

This stops fake buyers and chargeback scams.

3. Platform Systems

The platform handles:

About BuyandSell

BuyAndSell will not run on cheap shared hosting or temporary cloud instances. Part of the Kickstarter funding will be used to purchase physical servers and build my own infrastructure to host the platform. This gives me full control over performance, security, storage, and uptime.

Owning the hardware means:

• no oversold shared hosting
• no random outages
• no third‑party limits
• no sudden shutdowns
• full control over data and security
• long‑term stability for creators and buyers

The servers will run in a proper datacenter environment with reliable power, cooling, and networking. This allows BuyAndSell to operate like a real platform with predictable performance and room to scale as more creators and buyers join.

Stripe handles the payment backend, and my own infrastructure handles the platform itself, listings, messaging, verification, storage, and all core systems.

This combination (Stripe + owned servers) creates a stable, secure foundation for a digital marketplace that people can trust.
