I am a friend of Jonathan and Brandy Caltrider. For approximately the last 4 years now, Jonathan and Brandy have been trying to have a child. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, their dream finally came true in the Fall of 2016 with the help of IVF (in vitro fertilization). Several months into their pregnancy, during an anatomy ultrasound, it was determined that some of their baby girl's organs were not developing properly. After being referred to WVU Medicine's high risk OB clinic and multiple appointments to follow, they were given news that no parent ever expects to hear. That being that their little girl would almost certainly not survive the pregnancy. Jonathan and Brandy continued to hope and pray for a miracle. On July 22, 2017 at 5:09am, their miracle, Aria Grace Caltrider, was born. Within the next couple hours, Aria Grace passed away in the arms of her parents.
