FHS Sisters The Lesson
Cam Wilson's Mission Trip
Thank you for considering donating to my mission trip to Pamplona Alta, Peru with my friend and Team Chaplin, Father Remi.
Pamplona Alta is a shanty town in Lima, Peru. People live in very poor conditions often lacking running water, electricity, and other basic necessities. But most of all, they are abandoned and separated from the rest of the city and even the world.
Mainly, we are going to spend time with the neighbors of the community. We are human beings not human doings. There is great reconciliatory power in just being with each other. We will also help the neighbors build a community project. Usually stairs or a retaining wall. These are so important for the well-being of the neighbors and I look forward to using my strength to help.
We will also spend time praying with the neighbors. A beautiful way of doing this is by going to their homes and praying with them side by side.
While at Penn, Father Remi has helped me stay close to and continue to seek The Lord. I feel called to travel to his native country with him and others this May to help wherever I am needed.
In HIS service,
Cameron Briggs Wilson
