This is love in abundance. This is the shelter of love embraced even more fervently when one sees their partner was forced to grow through a bolder in the midst of a happy road they were traveling to the alter. But, that bolder came crashing down upon the partner and she couldn't lift it, so she grew through it. Every day pushing up through it more into the sunlight, roots more firmly planted in the ground beneath it, knowing that she is still being nourished by love. 

Brittany was 28 years young when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2017. She recently turned 29. Yay, for birthdays! She is a public high school mathematics teacher in the South Central/Watts area of Los Angeles. She loves her job! She loves educating her students about math and getting them excited about it. Brittany has been working since she was sixteen, primarily in a capacity interacting with students. Her first job was as an Extended Student Services aide at an elementary school. She has volunteered in many capacities helping students such as a being a student tutor in high school and college. She has, also, volunteered in the Alzheimer's and cancer communities. She has lead fundraising efforts with her sorority, Chi Omega, when she was attending Cal Poly Pomona. She worked as she paid her own way through college to obtain a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree. Brittany is an amazing sister and friend who always shows up to support anyone facing a challenge as well as celebrating life. 

She and her fiance, Jeff, were in the beginning stages of planning their wedding for 2017 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had to take time off of work and make many adjustments, including postponing of the wedding from the original date. Although Brittany returned to work last week, she is still going through chemotherapy and will need to take more time off of work in the near future. We'd like to help Brittany and Jeff make a dent in their medical expenses because even with insurance, cancer treatment has a financial impact. We appreciate any contributions, all of the well wishes, the support, the love, the encouragement, the shares of this fundraiser.
