Well, as most of you know we have taken guardianship of our youngest (adopted) daughter's 3 year old sister. This was the only way we could help her and avoid her entering foster care. She came in to our custody with the clothes on her back so we've created an Amazon list to help with some of the items we will need for her. This is a private, permanent guardianship, so she will remain with us until her parents demonstrate that they can care for her (unfortunately, we have no way of knowing how long this will take). With that being said, we are not receiving financial assistance of any kind for her. She has been through quite a bit of trauma and we are determined to get her into therapies and services that can help with some of her developmental and physical delays. This precious princess has a long road ahead of her but we are bound and determined to do all we can for her and ensure she gets the best outcome possible, but we need your assistance.

In addition to asking for assistance with meeting her daily needs, we are also asking for donations to assist us in adding her to our family vacation that we are taking at the end of February to celebrate the adoption of all 4 of our children (3 from foster care and 1 step-parent adoption). We have been planning this cruise for quite some time and have barely been able to pay for our family of 6, so adding a 7th person is next to impossible for us. We would hate to leave her out of this adventure, since she is now a part of our family, so we've turned to this platform in the hopes that we can get friends, family, etc. to help us in, not just providing for her daily needs but also in, ensuring she gets to join us for our family vacation.

We have listed an amount a little higher than the cost of adding her to the cruise because whatever money is left over, if any, after paying for her to join us on the cruise will be used to help us meet any of her needs that still need to be met (food, services, clothing, childcare, etc. etc.). Any amount of funding helps us as we embark on this life changing journey! We truly appreciate the support and ask that you please keep this princess in your daily prayers. She's got a long road ahead of her but we are certain that we can help her overcome some of her trauma and the obstacles she has faced.
