Car Repair Bill

Dear Donors,

My name is Jabir, I am Deaf and 26 years old, and every day feels like a careful balancing act between resilience and exhaustion. Living as a deaf person in a world that rarely slows down or listens has taught me strength, but it has also placed barriers in front of even the simplest tasks. Communication is never effortless. Opportunities are often limited. And stability, especially financial stability, feels just out of reach more often than I want to admit. Right now, my greatest challenge is repairing my vehicle after dealing with 3 shady mechanics that ended up draining at least over $11,00 out my wallet leaving myself in a financial challenge that I am struggling to get out of. My vehicle is not just a convenience; it is my lifeline. It gets me to work, to audiologist appointments, to the few spaces where I feel independent and capable. Without it, I am isolated in ways that go beyond inconvenience. Public transportation options are limited where I live, and rideshare services are not always accessible or affordable for someone in my position. An overwhelming car repair bill of $4,865 has brought my already fragile situation to a breaking point. I am not asking for luxury or comfort; I am asking for the ability to keep moving forward. The cost is more than I can manage with my current income, especially while handling everyday expenses like rent, food, and medical needs. As someone who already faces employment barriers due to being deaf, i have worked hard to build independence despite the odds. I have adapted, learned, and pushed myself to survive in environments that were not designed for me. But moments like this remind me how quickly everything can unravel. Without my car, I risk losing my job, missing critical obligations, and falling into a cycle that is incredibly difficult to escape. Asking for $5,000 is not easy for me. It carries vulnerability, humility, and a deep sense of urgency. This amount would not only cover the repair bill but also provide a small cushion for related costs that inevitably arise during situations like this. It represents stability, a chance to breathe, and the opportunity to continue building a life that is not defined by constant setbacks. I am not looking for sympathy; I am asking for understanding. Being deaf already means navigating a world that can feel isolating and unaccommodating. Financial hardship adds another layer of difficulty that can quickly become overwhelming. With support, I can overcome this obstacle and keep moving toward a future where I am not constantly on the edge of crisis. Receiving help would mean more than fixing a car; it would mean waking up without the constant weight of uncertainty pressing down on me. It would allow me to show up for my responsibilities, maintain my independence, and continue striving for a better future. I am doing everything I can to stand on my own, but right now, I need a helping hand. This support would not be taken for granted; it would be carried with gratitude and used as a steppingstone toward stability and self-sufficiency once again. I hope that by sharing my situation honestly, you can see not just the hardship, but the determination behind it. I am still here, still trying, still believing that things can improve with the right support at the right time. This moment is critical for me, and your help could be the difference between falling further behind and finally regaining my footing. I am not giving up on myself, and with your help, I will not have to face this alone. Your generosity would create a turning point in my life, giving me the chance to move forward with hope, stability, and the strength to keep going despite everything I face daily.
