I am a single mother of two who is trying to rebuild after several extremely difficult years. For the past six years, I was the full-time caregiver for my mother, who was paralyzed and required constant care. During that time, I put my own education and career on hold to make sure she was safe, supported, and cared for with dignity.

In June, my mother passed away. While I am grieving her loss, I am also facing the reality of starting over after years outside the workforce. I am barely making ends meet and have been doing everything I can to keep a roof over my children’s heads while planning a path toward stability.

My goal is to return to school to complete my LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) training so I can reenter the workforce in a meaningful and reliable way. Becoming an LNA would allow me to support my children, work in a field where I already have caregiving experience, and build a stable future for my family.

Unfortunately, my car is currently not running, and I do not have the funds needed for the necessary repairs. Reliable transportation is essential for me to attend school, clinicals, and eventually return to work. Without my car, I am unable to move forward with my education or secure employment.

I am asking for assistance to help cover the cost of getting my car back on the road so I can return to school, complete my LNA training, and work toward financial independence. This support would not only help me regain mobility but would also give my family a chance to move forward after a long period of hardship.
