Hi everyone,

I am reaching out today on behalf of my son, Loren. Please let me preface by letting you know Loren is uninjured but could really use some help.

If you know Loren, you know that he has an incredibly big heart, is a loving father to his three boys, and is cherished by so many people. Loren's story embodies pain, darkness, resilience, perseverance, and hard work. Please read my son's story and help if you can.

You may or may not know that the last few years have been an uphill battle for Loren. He has faced some of the darkest challenges life can throw at a person. He fought through severe mental health struggles, overcame addiction that nearly destroyed him, survived a painful breakup, and even experienced homelessness. But over the last year, Loren did something miraculous; He fought with everything he had to pull himself out of that dark place. In addition to his strength and determination, he asked for help. For those that know him well, you know how hard it is for him to ask anyone for help. However, with the help of fantastic mental health providers, doctors, and support groups, He has now been sober for over a year and the dark place he was in, because of his mental health struggles, has shown him light he was unable to see previously.

He got back into the workforce, holds down a steady job, and recently moved into his very own apartment. He has worked tirelessly to rebuild a stable, safe, and happy life for himself and his three sons. Everything was finally looking up.

Because he was finally on stable ground, he took a rare and well-deserved weekend trip to visit his aunt and cousin—family he hadn't been able to see in years. He had a wonderful time reconnecting and seeing the sights outside of town. It was a beautiful reminder of how far he had come. Unfortunately, on his drive home, disaster struck. He hit a deer, causing severe damage to his car. This vehicle is not just a way to get around; it is his entire lifeline. It is his source of independence. He uses it to get to his regular job, which is a town over from where he lives. It is also how he earns extra income as a DoorDash driver to support his boys. Without it, the stable life he worked so hard to build is at serious risk. He has done all the heavy lifting to turn his life around, but this sudden accident is a hurdle he cannot clear alone.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the costs of repairing his car so he can keep moving forward, stay employed, and continue being the amazing dad his boys need.
