Caregiver - PC & Printer
I am a disabled senior and caregiver to a person with a brain disorder, in desperate need of a decent printer and laptop. I have been taking care of a family member since her brain injury in 2019. I need a functioning all in-one-printer and laptop for continuing education as a caregiver and update my skills to return to work, Telehealth appointments and caregiver support groups.
With companion care being very costly and not covered under insurance, and being on a fixed low retirement income, I have no choice but to add an additional income source
When my first laptop broke after 7 years, I got a low end MSI Modern gaming laptop on sale. Four months later my printer began to fall apart, literally, i picked it up to move and the plastic under the roller fell out. Then my printer was no longer compatible with the upgrade to the operating system in the MSI. I purchased an HP Deskjet e2734. I can't get it to work if i fill the ink or use generic cartridges, half the time. Their cartridges are a small fortune. I now have their ink subscription and pay for extra printed copies. The CPU crashed on the MSI Modern two months after the warranty ended. MSI, at that time, had a bad reputation concerning repairs. I had it checked out and was told, it might also need a new mother board. I was given an older Macbook. Having used a Mac in the past, I thought that would be great. It was in excellent shape, still is. I have been driven to distraction using it! I finally needed to scan some documents, without a paper feed it would have proven difficult since bicep surgery last year, had it not been for the fact, HP discontinued support on any MacOS under version 11, last May!
I have wasted too much time with the Macbook and the printer, while taking care of someone, who with a brain injury, needs hands on assistance. She is also severely arthritic.
Thank you so very much for any assistance you can provide. I am truly gratefull for your kindness and compassion!
