Standing with Caroline Smith in Her Fight Against Cancer

We are coming together to support Caroline Smith, someone who has spent her life showing up for others — and now needs us to show up for her.

Caroline has been a dedicated Security Site Supervisor with PalAmerican Security at the Simplot Ontario plant for the past 24 years, known for her reliability, work ethic, and commitment to her team and clients.

Three years ago, Caroline was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Since then, she has undergone two and a half years of ongoing chemotherapy treatments. Even through it all, she continued to show up — working, supporting her team, and pushing forward without calling off. That is simply who she is.

Recently, what Caroline believed to be pneumonia turned out to be the cancer spreading. In less than two months, it has aggressively advanced to her lungs and abdomen, and her health has declined rapidly. She is now no longer able to continue working.

Caroline is now facing not only the physical and emotional toll of this fight, but also significant financial strain from medical expenses and the sudden loss of income. She is in need of an electric wheelchair to help her safely get around as her mobility becomes more limited, along with continued medical care.

Outside of work, Caroline has spent decades giving back to her community — supporting St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital through annual fundraising efforts, and contributing to organizations like the Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, and the American Legion for over 20 years. She has always been someone who shows up when others are in need.

She is a devoted wife of 28 years (together for 38), a loving mother of two daughters, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to a large family who adore her and are now standing beside her through this incredibly difficult time.

Now it’s our turn to show up for Caroline.

Any support — whether through a donation or simply sharing this page — will help ease the burden and allow Caroline to focus on what matters most right now.

Any amount, no matter how small, truly makes a difference and is deeply appreciated.
