Hello, my name is Ruthie & I am a friend & co-worker of Casey Lehtinen. I was asked to represent our nursing unit in coordinating this Christmas Blessing. We all love Casey & his family so very much & want desperately to make there Christmas a time of joy, peace & love with some burdens lifted.***Casey was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia at the age of 12. He went through chemo treatments & was able to receive a bone marrow transplant from his brother which provided 20 years of being cancer free. In October 2016, the cancer returned. Casey had to dress for battle once again to fight this evil cancer monster. This past year Casey has had multiple extended hospital stays for chemo, bone marrow biopsies, infections, & a bone marrow transplant which failed. He is now back on high doses of Chemo in a last effort to save his life. Casey (33yrs) is a son, brother, loving husband & father of 3. He is an outstanding nurse & a dear friend to so many. He is a blessing to all who know him. The medical bills have surmounted & have become a financial hardship & a cruel sting. It's like throwing salt on an open wound. Casey & his family have embraced this journey with such courage, strength, faith, hope & love. He has been an extension of God's healing to so many & I hope the same can be returned to him & his family at such a time as this. Please help! This may very well be the end of his journey and his last Christmas with his family. I continue to pray for his healing & that his family may have a very blessed Christmas together & a financial burden lifted. Thank you for your time and consideration.
