As many are aware, when residents of Wentzville were fighting a proposed truck stop, they enlisted the help of CEDS (Community & Environmental Defense Services). We have been in contact with them, and they will help us for a fee of $1,000.00. Below is a brief synopsis of what they will do.

CEDS ASSISTANCE WITH YOUR BEST STRATEGY

First, we'll draft a letter, documenting the strongest arguments against approving a gas station. You would then summarize the key points in the letter in testimony before the decision-making body. Our letter would be submitted to provide the science and other documentation supporting your testimony.

Second, we would assist you in mobilizing sufficient public support throughout your town, city or county to convince elected officials to require a minimum safety zone of 500-feet or more between a proposed truck facility – including the one of concern to you - and sensitive uses. 

There will be no additional charge for drafting the letter and assisting you with carrying out either approach.

If you wish a Strategy Analysis report, there would be an additional fee of $1,000. However, most of our clients opt for just the letter and our help with the approaches described above.
