Over a year ago my daughter Chelsey was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy (Berger's Disease) and found out that it was in advanced stages and her kidneys were failing. She has since been placed on Dialysis. she is now a single mom with 3 kids that she has been determined to support without the help of others. She has worked hard and was doing great. Struggled? Yes... but was feeling confident about herself. Well she hit a road block and got sick and was hospitalized several times over the last 6 months. Her apartment had mold in it and she didn't realize how sensitive her immune system is and how allergic she is to any kind of dust particle. Has had COVID on top of all of that and it has enabled her to keep the job she had. We are in the process of moving her close to family so that we can help her with the kids more and give her the emotional support she needs. She was in the process of getting a transplant list and then life happened. Made it hard for her to commit and she got depressed and went into a hole basically. She is slowly coming out of it now that she has the load of trying to make it on her own. The fundraiser is to help her get on her feet and pay some past due medical bills. To help her and those trying to help financially to put a roof over her and my 3 grandchildren's heads. To put food in their mouths. To help her maintain her vehicle that needs tires and some mechanic work done on it. She is struggling to manage with everything and I want to help her anyway I can. To help give her the want to .. to go on and enjoy life, get on that transplant list, take care of her children and be able to be on her own again one day! Help ME help HER!
