I have been wanting a dog ever since my husband Luke and I got married, about 3 years ago.  Luke finally gave in, and on May 14th, we brought home our sweet little 14-week-old Chester.  I didn't realize I could love an animal so much so soon!  On the night of May 27th, two weeks after we got him, Chester was running down our steep driveway chasing Luke.  He leaped into the air, and when he came back down, he immediately fell to the ground and started crying.  It was a heart-wrenching sound.  He wouldn't put any weight on his left front paw, and we rushed him to PVSEC, an emergency animal clinic in the North Hills area.  They took some x-rays and let us know that poor little Chester's leg was broken.  They said we had two options: surgery, which would cost $3000, or amputation, which would be slightly less.  Well of course we couldn't bear the thought of our poor little 4-month-old's leg being amputated just because he broke it, so we decided on surgery.  Chester will undergo surgery on May 31st.  We are asking you to please consider helping us out just a little bit with our medical costs.  We would do anything for our loving little fur-ball, but this surgery will be a little bit of a financial hardship on our family.  Any donations will help.  Thank you for supporting our little Chester!
