As many of you know, Jessica recently had surgery to help elevate some of her symptoms due to having Chiari malformation and syringomyelia. Many people do not know her journey to getting her diagnoses. After years of having pain including intense migraines, numbness in her limbs and dizziness, she sought medical attention. After a few MRIs, they were able to diagnose her with Chiari Malformation but missed the syrinx on her lower spine. Finally after searching for a doctor in Aurora to listen to her concerns, he found her syrinx on her spine after another MRI. The syrinx is fluid build up on her spine and makes all of her symptoms worse and surgery was needed to be done quick. After a few pandemic delays, Jessica finally had surgery to ease her symptoms!
Recovery has gone okay but she's continuing to have some symptoms and pain. The stress of her medical bills coming in - I fear - is impacting her healing.
I come from a very prideful family and asking for help does not come easy to us. However, I would love nothing more than to keep my sister healthy and if taking some of the burden of her bills may help do that I am going to try! If you can spare a few dollars to donate we would be so grateful!
*Any additional funds will go directly to the Conquer Chiari Research Fund!*
