Child Cancer Fund
My name is Raj and I am from Delhi. Few years ago I lost my only son to cancer. Though I belonged to a well off high middle income group family the cost of treatment of my son proved to be beyond our means. It was during this period that Dr. Kishore Singh from Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi, introduced me to Aadhar Child Cancer Trust, located in Paschim Vihar, New Delhi.
Dr. Rajeshwari Kulkarni, the architect of this trust, and a cancer survivor herself, has been trying to help these children live a long and fruitful life since 1998.
But this help does not come free. On an average a child needs ₹8000/- month for chemotherapy plus other expenses for medicines etc. Payments are made directly to hospital concerned.
Since 1998 Aadhar has raised and spent more than ₹1.8 cr for assisting and completing the treatment of over 580 children.
Aadhar also provides emotional support to these families and also monitors the progress of the child during treatment.
Now, you can help by pledging a donation amount every month which may be able to partially or fully fund the cost of medication of a child during the course of his/her treatment.
