Growing up the in “Bible Belt” of the United States makes it hard to believe that someone hasn't heard about Jesus. If we want a Bible, we can pick one up while we do our grocery shopping. It's so simple for us that we have come to take this privilege for granted. So it may astound you to hear that over 3 billion people worldwide live in what is classified as an “unreached people group”. Unreached people groups have a population in which less than 2% of the population are Evangelical Christians.

According to the Joshua Project China has 549 people groups, 449 of which fall into the category of unreached people groups. That brings the total population in unreached people groups in China to a staggering 183,423,000. That is 183,423,000 people that if they died tomorrow would step out of this world never once hearing the name of Jesus Christ. This should be deeply troubling to all Christians, because Jesus was clear in Matthew 28:19-20 that we should “…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” (NIV).

This is why I have committed to going to China from August 2nd to 11th of this year. On this trip we will be working with the Fischer Family Ministries to smuggle Bibles into China by discretely placing them in various pieces of luggage, and then into very rural areas of China where some have never heard the Word of God. We will also be building relationships and encouraging underground churches in the area. It will be labor intensive and very out of our comfort zones as we are extremely privileged here in the states.

I am asking for your to help make this possible by making a donation to aid in the cost of this trip, which is estimated to be approximately $3,800 per person. Regardless of the amount, every contribution is greatly appreciated. We also need prayers just as much as donations, so please pray for our team's safe passage into China, and for God to use us to bring more to know Him.
