On May 12th doctors notified Christopher he has Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma specifically Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma.
After years of lower back pain, Christopher finally expressed that he had had enough. Upon further investigation on Friday, May 6th his doctor found a mass growing on his L2.
Monday, May 9th Christopher was admitted to the hospital and multiple tests were administered. After completing a biopsy of the mass Christopher was notified on May 12th, 2022 that he has Non Hodgkin Lymphoma specifically Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma.
This is an Aggressive but CURABLE type of Lymphoma – PRAISE GOD
A bone marrow biopsy and a full-body MRI have concluded the cancer is only in the mass on his spine. PRAISE GOD again!!
His treatment plan:
On May 19th Christopher began getting 24-hour chemo infusions he is being released from the hospital on May 24th. He will then have 2 weeks “off” with multiple checkups weekly.
He will then go back into the hospital for the next “round” of 24-hour chemo infusions around June 9, 2022 for 4-5 days, so-on-and-so-forth. He will do this cycle of treatment 5-6 times. He is looking at roughly 6 months of treatments.
Prior to finding out about his cancer Chris was transitioning into a new job with full benefits and amazing career opportunities. Unfortunately, that has been put on hold, and at this time Christopher is unable to work given the extensive amount of treatment needed. May 17, 2022 Christopher celebrated his 26th birthday, which means he is covered by his family insurance through the end of the month. After May 31, 2022 he will have to pay out of pocket for all of his medical insurance at cost plus everything his insurance doesn't cover. His fiancé Katherine is working as much as she can. However, she is on an hourly wage, and is his primary caregiver. We know as things progress, there will be times she will need to stay with him. Without two incomes and the multitude of medical bills to come, we are asking all of you to please donate to help Christopher and Katherine stay afloat during this time.
Any funds raised will help them with medical bills and monthly living costs, so that they can focus on Christopher's treatments without the financial stressors. Any donations that are not needed will be paid forward to another family who is still in need at that time.
While this is terrifying to all of us, we hold tight to God's Word.
