Church Plant Taking Root
We are founders of a church plant that has been sought after for 80 years. My wife and I made contact with a young man on social media. He told us he was looking for work in or out of his country. He began to tell us about his life. He was born in a family of 3 generations of pastors. He was educated with a degree in finance. His dream was to be a pastor and educate children. He told us he was Pastoring a group of believers in Jesus and they were meeting in a field in their town. Members of this fellowship 80 years ago witnessed their church building taken away and turned into an alternate form of religion. 70 Christians have been meeting in a dirt field, praying on the ground on blankets. Many times, they have been attacked by Violent anti-believers in Jesus with no regard for the women, children and the elderly Christian followers of Jesus. My wife and I asked if there is anything we could do to help. At first, we did not know anything about their situation. My wife and I decided to rent them a building and get them off the streets. Since they have been inside of a rented building, they have been safe from rouge attackers. They pay semiannually for armed security for each service meeting indoors. They pay monthly rent and utilities. They have developed into a thriving church since their first meeting with 70 in attendance to now 280 in just a few months. People have been traveling from surrounding towns to attend a worship meeting. The Pastor is educating the children in general education during the week, Since most of these people are Illiterate and Uneducated. They have grown to 6 days a week for morning prayer. They hold 2 church meetings on Thursday and 2 on Sunday. We have daily have contact with the Pastor on Video Chat. He briefs us every morning about his daily schedule and financial direction. At the end of the day he briefs us on what he accomplished that day. The major issue is my wife and I are not able to sustain the financial output needed to keep the church going. The church members are very poor. Each household earns the equivalent of $100 a month. Christians are placed in very poor conditions in outskirt towns. In addition, they need school supplies for educating children. They need food because most of them are malnourished because they don't have money to feed themselves. Christians are a minority in their Country. Their Country does not employ most Christians leaving them helpless and not able to take care of their Basic Daily Needs for Survival. With all of this challenge the church is still growing. We are seeking monthly help to see Jesus Glorified in the lives of these precious believers. Please have compassion on this small Community of People and Help them with Any little bit or more that you have. Every Dollar Literally Counts for these Beautiful Loving People Who Just want an opportunity to live and Worship Jesus Safely! Thank You so much from the bottom of our hearts and May God Richly Bless You for your Kindness.
