We lost my Mommy yesterday very unexpectedly, at home after a long hospital stay post spinal surgery and infection. She was so happy to be home with our family and her kitties and doggy. Dad was her breakfast and when he came back she was gone. The paramedics tried everything but we couldn't get her back. We're devastated. The world won't be the same without my mom in it. I'm just not ready. We never expected this after all she had been through and survived and fought. If you don't know my mom, she's been fighting since her neck was broken in 2019 to recover from the injury, and then breast cancer. She's the kindest most selfless person you'd ever met and she cared for people all her life as a daughter, mom , Nana, and massage therapist. She worked to relieve people's suffering in a hospital setting and out patient, and also helped heal their souls by listening to their stories and remembering what they told her. People were always in awe of my mom's care and love for them. All of her grandson's friends ended up calling her Nana. Life is just so lonely without her. She deserved to travel and do all the things she wanted to do. I'm so mad and sad and devastated that our time together was cut so short, so suddenly. I last saw the love of my life, my mommy on Valentine's Day when we talked and played Yahtzee together, ate and I tucked her into bed. After a month and a half in the hospital which she fought everything off, to lose her like this is just heartbreaking.

We are trying to honor her wishes for cremation while still providing a spot where we can visit and have a permanent place to remember her. My mom and dad were on a fixed social security income and we're only able to cover the very basic cremation. Anything you can contribute towards memorial costs and a celebration of life would be greatly appreciated.
