Clay's road to Iowa
Clayton has quietly done something extraordinary. He went from showing up when it was convenient to showing up every single day. Daily gym sessions. Intentional workouts. A real commitment to his body, his discipline, and his future. No shortcuts. No hype. Just consistency. The kind that reshapes a person from the inside out.
Clayton also grew up learning patience early. He has a special-needs brother he loves deeply, and like many siblings in that space, he learned how to be understanding, adaptable, and selfless long before most kids have to.
Life looks different when your family’s energy is divided by necessity. This camp is my way of giving him something tangible that is his. Something earned. Something that exists outside of comparison, outside of circumstance, outside of anyone else’s needs.
Money is a strange thing. This cost could be a mortgage payment, a purse, a venue for a ceremony. But for us, it’s a journey to Iowa. It’s proof that hard work matters, that dedication is seen, and that when you commit yourself fully, the world can meet you with opportunity. I am endlessly proud of who Clayton is becoming, and grateful to anyone who chooses to stand beside him on this step of the journey.
