I am writing to you on behalf of the Commack Thunder, a travel soccer team composed of talented and dedicated nine-year-old boys from Commack, New York. We are seeking a grant to help support our team as we strive to provide these young athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills, build character, and experience the joy of competitive soccer in a positive environment.

Our team was formed with the goal of fostering not only athletic development but also the personal growth of each player. Through rigorous training, team-building exercises, and participation in regional tournaments, our boys have already shown tremendous growth both on and off the field. However, as a travel team, the financial demands are significant. The costs associated with uniforms, equipment, travel, lodging, and tournament fees can be burdensome, especially for families with limited financial resources.

This grant would be instrumental in ensuring that all of our players have the opportunity to participate fully, regardless of their financial situation. Specifically, the funds would be used to:

1. Cover Travel Expenses: Including transportation and lodging for out-of-town tournaments.
2. Purchase Equipment: Such as soccer balls, training gear, and uniforms.
3. Offset Tournament Fees: Allowing us to participate in more competitive events that are crucial for the development of our players.
