From Cabin to Cockpit

My name is Eslam Taher, and for more than 15 years, aviation has been more than a career—it has been my life’s passion.

I began my aviation journey as a Flight Attendant with EgyptAir, and today I proudly serve as a Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines. Every flight reminds me why I fell in love with aviation, but my lifelong dream has always been to move from the cabin to the cockpit.

Today, I’m asking for your support as I pursue that dream.

Why I’m Raising Funds

My goal is to complete my flight training through my Commercial Pilot Certificate, including:

• Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)

• Instrument Rating (IFR)

• Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL)

Completing these certifications will prepare me for the next stage of building flight experience toward becoming a professional airline pilot.

The total cost of this training is approximately $35,000.

What I’m Doing to Reach My Goal

I’m not waiting for someone else to make this happen.

I’m working extra hours, driving for Amazon Flex before sunrise, studying every day for my FAA knowledge exam, applying for aviation scholarships, networking with pilots and mentors, and saving every dollar I can while supporting my wife and our young son.

This dream is something I’ve worked toward for years, and I’m committed to seeing it through.
