Community Care Fundraiser
It is often difficult for people living on the street to access certain resources, and it can be especially difficult for women who are living under these circumstances. Six students from the University of Washington are coming together to support women experiencing homelessness in Seattle by fundraising to create and distribute Safety & Care Kits. 100% of all proceeds will go towards the contents and creation of the Safety & Care Kits.
Items that will be in our Safety & Care Kits include but are not limited to:
- menstrual products i.e. pads & tampons
- hygienic items i.e. bars of soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss)
- Band-Aids & alcohol wipes
- condoms
- hair ties
- whistle (in case of assault or ICE presence)
- a non-perishable snack
- Know Your Rights multilingual cards
As always, it is as important as ever to look out for one another, and support all of our neighbors and communities wherever possible.
We are grateful for your time, and your support! Any donation is appreciated, and if you are not in a position to be able to support financially, we also appreciate the sharing of this drive with friends and family.
Thank you!
